May Cottage Traditions, ca. 1936-1937

 Item — Box: 1.2

Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The scrapbooks in this collection, assembled primarily by former Oberlin College students, are those not associated with a personal paper group. Not all scrapbooks are intact. Some were donated as dissembled or photocopied books, while others were dissembled and/or copied by Archives staff for preservation purposes.

The inventory lists names of creators in alphabetical order. Married women’s names appear twice in the inventory, under two different surnames, maiden and married, for ease of searching. Some scrapbooks are accompanied by diaries by the same creator. Note: this has been adjusted in the item level descriptions, which list all last names utilized by a creator in chronological order.

While many scrapbooks contain photographs, they are distinguished from photograph albums, which are located in another collection (RG 32/7).
