A published history entitled, Robert McEwen: Scottish Exile to American 1685, and His Descendants in the Line of His Grandson Gershom McEwen, Junior, of Winchester, Connecticut, compiled by Patrician Ann Hoagland McEwen. George Faber McEwen's half-sister, Samantha Joslin, attended Oberlin College (1844-1846 lit.), as did her nieces, Helen and Cora Joslin.
