Papers and reports that Belden wrote in grammar and high school constitute the bulk of this subseries. One paper, “The Negro,” from 1941, provides young Belden Paulson’s observations on racism and segregation that later became the focal point of his work with the Center for Urban Community Development (CUCD). Also included is his 1945 yearbook from Oak Park High School.
