The Big Picture, 2004
Scope and Contents
This file contains a single-edition political journal intended to create publishable representation of Oberlin College's diversity of background, experience, and opinion. Published in 1994, the goals of The Big Picture declared in the official charter by its editor and publisher (both student-held positions) are: to provide an arena in which members of the Oberlin community can discuss national and international events of current political importance; to take advantage of the diverse backgrounds and interests of the members of the Oberlin community; and to provide an outlet for concerns or interests that a member of the community might want to share about the world outside of Oberlin. Topics of discussion include: refugees in Chiapas, homosexuality in academia, international human rights violations, and nuclear politics. The paper features cover art produced by Oberlin artists.
