This correspondence was added to the collection as part of an additional installment to the Jones Family Papers. The series contains both personal and professional correspondence of Lynds and Clara Jones, as well as correspondence with colleagues concerning the Wilson Ornithological Club. It includes correspondence with Althea Sherman, an Oberlin graduate and ornithologist who was the first to observe and document the life cycle of chimney swifts.
