Contains over 1,000 examples of Cox’s outgoing correspondence. The bulk of the correspondence is contained in letter press copy books (4 volumes) and manifold letter books (4 volumes). The eight volumes were not kept in a strictly chronological order. Some 123 original letters sent to family and friends are arranged alphabetically by recipient.
