Emma Townsend to "Dear Nettie," 1860 September 14. Townsend writes about Oberlin College and his feelings of homesickness.

George W. Keyes (AB 1864) to "Friend Clark," August 28, 1863. Keyes arrived in Oberlin on June 1, 1862. He describes the Commencement of 1863, mentions making "picture frames" for an income, and mentions his membership in a volunteer militia company. Includes a typed copy.

Signed "Fanny" and written to "Dear Sister," this handwritten letter relates to the writer's sister's birthday and news of the Civil War. It was written in Oberlin, Ohio, on 1862 September 10.
