This artificial collection of materials relating to Hsiang-Hsi (or H. H.) Kung brings together disparate materials held by the Oberlin College Archives and previously by the Oberlin College Library.  The collection is organized into six series.

Scope and Contents The records of OSMA date from 1881 to the present and relate to the activities of Oberlinians in Asia during that period.  Earlier records discuss missionary work of the Oberlin Band: evangelism, teaching, medical work, and the operation of "opium refuges" in the Shanxi province of China. The bulk of this collection deals with the OSMA, which was formed as a living memorial to Oberlin missionaries who died in the Boxer Rebellion of 1900.
