Scope and Contents
The Ward E. Bailey Senior Family Collection consists of a collection of teaching objects, photographs, and printed materials relating to and collected during Ward E. Bailey Senior and Bertha Bailey’s time as missionaries in Sichuan Province, China, from 1912-1919. The objects in the collection span the seventeenth through the twentieth centuries.

Physical Description
Blue silk robe with sleeves and collar. Embroidered design features 16 golden dragons, waves, bats, fish, and auspicioius symbols. Embroidery based on Qing court guidelines for imperial cabinet members.
