Scope and Contents The materials in this collection consist of photocopies from the Oberlin College Archives, the Oberlin Beach Association’s records, and letters and clippings from the Association’s members. Scope and Contents The records (2 vols.) are mainly those of the executive committee plus newspaper clippings that report upon annual meetings and other activities of the Alliance. The clippings are pasted into the volumes in chronological sequence. The first 18 pages of volume one contain records of the “Oberlin Temperance League,” February 1, 1870, to May 1, 1874. The records of the Oberlin Unit of the NAACP cover the period from ca. 1919 to 1976, and from 1990 to 2014. They comprise certificates of achievement, correspondence, Freedom Fund Banquet programs, membership campaign materials, reports, general NAACP information, and complaint case files. The latter are restricted.

The Pittsfield Township Records, which range in date from 1835 through 1965, include information related to the school system and two local churches. Administrative records related to the Soldiers and Sailors Association, marriage licenses, infrastructure repairs, and a tornado are also included.

The Court of Amherst Township Records contain the dockets of Joseph L. Whiton, Homer Tyrell, Alvah Lewis, Edgar H. Hinman, Henry Hirsching, and J.B. Parker. They range in date from 1854 through 1891.

The Lorain County Regional Planning Commission Records date from 1956 through 1979. They include documents related to commission activities, including annual reports, a thoroughfare plan, and a senior citizens' needs survey.

The Oberlin Druggists' Records date from 1882 through 1955. There are gaps in the records between 1897 and 1906 and 1923 and 1948. The records in this collection primarily consist of accounts, a poison register, and a liquor register.

The Oberlin Manual Training School Records date from 1887 to 1910. They include newspaper clippings and citations, a committee report related to the school, and end of term reports.

Scope and Contents With the exception of one folder containing copies of clippings, correspondence, printed matter and other miscellaneous text items, the Oberlin Country Day Camp Photographs Collection comprises black and white photographic prints, negatives and contact sheets by College photographer Arthur E.
