Administrative History
The Oberlin Junior Women’s Club was a philanthropic and social club organized in 1954. Over the years the Oberlin Junior Women’s Club was involved in community projects, such as blood typing at the Lorain County Fair, book collections for local school libraries, and various philanthropies to benefit hospitals and civil defense funds. Activities for members included the Annual Mother and Daughter Banquet. It remained active until the mid-1980s when the lack of membership proved too great a strain on the club. Maretta "Peg" Van Ausdale was the president during the period covered by the bulk of the collection.
