Method of Acquisition

The majority of the records of the ACLU North Central Ohio Chapter, based in Oberlin, were received in 1993, 1995 and 1996 from Harvey Gittler, legal liaison for the North Central Ohio Chapter. When he retired from volunteer service for the ACLU in 1994, he had served the organization for 25 years. Additional files were received in 1995 from Carol Ganzler, who kept minutes for the Chapter in 1987-88 and 1990-93. In 2012 an additional 0.60 linear feet were received from Reid Wood; these have yet to be processed.
