Student Life: Student Notes
Scope and Contents
The Student Notes collection comprises selected materials produced by students for courses at Oberlin College. The material types include loose notes, notebooks, diaries, examination books, syllabi, maps, handouts, and a chart of world history (oversize). Notes taken in the nineteenth century document pedagogical methods by early Oberlin professors, including Charles Grandison Finney. Two bound volumes of notes by Elizabeth W. R. Lord document lectures on Italian painting by Adelia A. Field Johnston in 1901. Items are arranged in the order in which they were received.
