This collection primarily consists of institutional files related to Oberlin College's German and Russian language departments from 1913 through 1992. The records include information related to writers in residence, summer sessions, and sessions abroad. The German and Russian Department Records have been arranged in three series: Series I. The records of the German and Russian Department were received in two installments in 1976 from Marjorie L. Hoover, and one additional lot in 1993 from Joseph Reichard.
