Method of Acquisition

The Oberlin College Seashell Collection was donated to the Ohio State University and the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago in 1999. Materials relating to that collection and the Gulick Collection of Hawaiian Shells were transferred to the Oberlin College Archives in 2001 from Professor David Egloff in the Biology Department [2001/035]. Two course notebooks of Warren F. Walker, Professor of Biology at Oberlin College, 1947-85 were received from Peter Sherman (restricted) [2006/039].
