James Harris Fairchild Presidential Papers

Julia G. Severance Papers

Scope and Contents The Julia G. Severance papers primarily consist of her etchings of notable sites and buildings around the Oberlin College campus. Also included are letters written to friends regarding personal matters. The letters were retained for the additional artwork found on them. The photograph series contains photos of Julia Severance, her studio, and the Severance home in Oberlin, Ohio, as well as a photo album documenting her time in California and various loose photographs. L. Dean Nuernberger Papers

The L. Laurence H. and Frances MacDaniels Papers

Scope and Contents The Laurence H. and Frances MacDaniels papers contain biographical and college-related files, correspondence, and photographs. The bulk of the material is correspondence (with indexes initially prepared by Ellen Speers), and most of the material documents their Oberlin connection up to 1920. Lucy Lee Lewis Papers

Scope and Contents The papers of Lucy Lee Lewis document Lewis's career as a harpist, particularly at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and her relationship with her students. Little or no material is extant documenting her scholarship and service to Oberlin College. Malcolm D. Taylor Papers

Taylor span the years 1910 to 1981 with the bulk of the collection dating from 1914-1920. During this period, Taylor taught in a junior high school in Kinsman, Ohio, was educated at Oberlin College, and served in the First World War.
