The collection includes ca. 100 letters received and bills relating to Carpenter's business (1875‑93). The Adams Jewett Company of Cleveland is the chief correspondent. There are about 50 letters received by the Carpenter family (1887‑1871) including thirty from E.L. Hatcher, a beau of Miss Elizabeth Carpenter. The papers of Karl F. and Ruth B. Heiser document closely the family and personal lives of their subjects, but contain much less information about the Heisers’ occupations as psychologists. The collection consists almost entirely of the Heisers’ correspondence, the bulk of which was carried on between Karl and his family, between Karl and his first wife Jennie Byers Heiser, and between Karl and Ruth Heiser.

Consists primarily of handwritten sermons arranged in alphabetical order by sermon title. The author annotated the sermons with the places and dates of their delivery. The date range is 1882-1902, representing the entire working life of W. A. Hobbs as a minister. Box 4 contains a journal of a trip to the Holy Land in 1892-93, which includes descriptions of sea travel, places in Italy (Genoa, Rome, Naples), Greece, Egypt, the Holy Land and Turkey.
